Quercetin is a flavonoid extracted from plant material. Studies have showed that quercetin may act as a natural ant-histamine. In studies it inhibits the production and release of histamine and other allergic/inflammatory substances. Whereas, both Vitamin A and Vitamin C, have been approved to contribute to the normal function of the immune system. Additionally, Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes within the nose. This becomes important when we recognise that a common symptom of seasonal allergies is a 'runny nose'. The role of the nose is to act as a first barrier of defence against pathogens or pollen. Mucous is produced from the mucous membranes to capture the pollen before it invades the body.

Quercetin is a bioflavonoid extracted from multiple sources including fruits, vegetables, leaves, seeds, and grains. Studies have showed that quercetin may act as a natural ant-histamine. In studies it inhibits the production and release of histamine and other allergic/inflammatory substances.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is an important fat-soluble vitamin found in many fruits and vegetables. There are two categories of this, Carotenoids and Retinoids. The most bioavailable source is retinoids. Vitamin A is responsible for the normal function of the immune system and maintenance of mucous membranes. Also, its required for normal vision and skin, as well as iron metabolism and cell specialisation.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is one of the most well known and commonly studied nutrients.
