What is lack of proprioception and how will this affect my performance?
Because proprioceptive signals from the joints, muscles, tendons and skin are essential for movement, the loss of proprioceptive awareness may affect the control of muscle tone, disrupt reflexes and severely impair voluntary movement.
How can POWERCORE improve my performance?
Developing high-level proprioceptive awareness will improve athletic performance, such as footwork, hand eye coordination, core strength and agility. Our patented Biofeedbac technology developed by Professor Malcolm Pope is carefully incorporated into the POWERCORE wristband.
How to use the POWERCORE Sports Band
The technology has been incorporated into a lightweight sports wrist band to enhance your training programme. Simply wear the wrist band on your dominant hand (whichever hand you lead with) every time you train or are engaged in active pursuits, wear the band and it will over time increase your sports performance by improving your proprioception awareness.
A professional athlete has a high degree of proprioception awareness, but you may lack coordination, balance or speed — and this could mean that your proprioceptive awareness is not as developed as it could be. While one’s proprioception may not mirror a professional athlete’s, working on your proprioceptive skills will make a difference in all your day-to-day activities, fitness and sports pursuits.
